HOME PAGE Church Family Ministries “Faith at Home” Program – This year we are providing packets to parents to help them teach their children some of our most beloved scriptures and prayers. These packets will be distributed at the parent orientation the first day of Sunday school. They will be available upon request for anyone in the congregation after that date. The packets include the memory verses and study materials for the passages and prayers. Topics include: Psalm 23 and Psalm 100, The Lord’s Prayer, Books of the New Testament, Beatitudes, 10 commandments, Great commandment, Books of the Old Testament, UCC Statement of Faith Faith-Life Conversations – coming in January!! SAFPARC (Shawano Area Food Pantry and Resource Center) will be holding a Christmas Rummage Sale at Peace Church on December 4^th and 5^th in the Great Room. A very special day is coming soon Saturday DECEMBER 13^TH – our 16^th Annual Cookie Walk! Doors open 9:00 a.m. Preparations are well underway and we need your help. We need you to make cookies and candies, we need you to help make chicken soup on Friday December 12^th; and since we are going to provide nursery care this year we’ll need at least two people to work in the nursery on Saturday, December 13^th. Watch for the sign-up sheets to be posted and as always, if you have questions, please feel free to ask either one of us. Co-chairs, Lana Prickette & Sharon G ueths Interest has been expressed to start a quilt group in our church, both by people who know how to quilt and those who would like to learn. If you would be interested in being part of such a group, please call Bonnie Gleesing (524.2560). The group would have one meeting before the holidays and then begin in earnest in January. Let me warn you – quilting can be addictive! ************************************************************* PRAYER CHAIN! The missions committee has begun a prayer chain. The purpose of the chain is to spread the love of God for all people by praying for the needs of others! Anyone who feels the need for a prayer may contact Pastor Marty, Ken Gleesing or the church office (526-2916). This is a great way to develop and grow your prayer life, connect with your church family and deepen your relationship with God.
